Texas Hold'em Billiards is a new format designed to provide an exciting and challenging environment for a billiards tournament. Below, we have provided an example of how tournament play will progress.

SEMIFINAL BRACKET
2 Brackets, $500,000 "purse" per bracket

Round 1
(games 1-4)
Ante $5000 per person, per game
(Pot Value: $20,000 each game)

Round 2
(games 5-8)
Ante $10,000 per person, per game
(Pot Value: $40,000 each game)

Round 3
(games 9-12)
Ante $15,000 per person, per game
(Pot Value: $60,000 each game)

Round 4
(games 13-16)
Antes increase each game until only 2 players remain
Game 13: $45,000 Ante
Game 14: $60,000 Ante
Game 15: $75,000 Ante
Game 16: $90,000 Ante
Antes continue escalating in this manner until 2 players remain.

If 3 players (or 2 players if only 3 are left) are eliminated at once, the player with the most chips before the game began will advance as a WILDCARD player. In the event of a tie, the player who has won the most games will advance as the WILDCARD player. In either case, the WILDCARD player will be given $100,000 to enter the Finals Bracket with. If there is a tie in both situations, a Sudden Death game will be played.

CHAMPIONSHIP BRACKET
1 Bracket, 4 players, $1,000,000 "purse"

Round 1
(games 1-4)
Ante $20,000 per person, per game
(Pot Value: $80,000 each game)

Round 2
(games 5-8)
Ante $30,000 per person, per game
(Pot Value: $120,000 each game)

Round 3
(games 9-12)
Ante $40,000 per person, per game
(Pot Value: $160,000 each game)

Round 4
(games 13-16)
ALL-IN! each game
(The "Short Stack" player is ALL-IN! each game)*

*The player with the least amount of chips must "POST" ALL-IN! each game during this round. This amount becomes the game value for any given game in this round. Game winner earns this amount from each player. For example, if Player A is the short stack and begins Round 4 with $80,000 and wins game #13, he can only win $80,000 from each other player, making his new balance a possible $320,000. After this, the value of Game 14 is whatever amount the "new" short stack at the table is holding. Break order has no effect on the ALL-IN! amounts. Play continues in this manner until only 1 players is remaining.

Winner crowned "2007 Texas Hold'em Billiards Champion"!
